Activities Announced to Promote Quality Cinema in Colima
The University of Colima has launched a series of cultural events to encourage appreciation for classic and auteur cinema. The initiative begins with the film series “The Gaze of Buñuel,” taking place from May 21 to 25, and will also mark the opening of the new “Pony” Audiovisual Room at the University Art Gallery. The space was equipped with the help of filmmaker Guillermo “Pony” Cosío Díaz, who donated 3,350 films to UdeC, and Emilio Brun Solórzano. Additionally, the 77th edition of the International Film Showcase from the Cineteca Nacional will be held from May 27 to June 2, along with a collaboration with UNAM’s Film Archive. These efforts aim to enhance cultural and audiovisual education for students through partnerships between the university, civil society, and other institutions.
Annonce d’activités pour promouvoir le bon cinéma à Colima
L’Université de Colima (UdeC) a annoncé une série d’activités culturelles visant à encourager l’appréciation du cinéma classique et d’auteur. L’initiative commencera par le cycle “Le regard de Buñuel”, qui se déroulera du 21 au 25 mai, et marquera l’inauguration de la nouvelle Salle Audiovisuelle “Pony” à la Pinacothèque universitaire. Cette salle a été équipée grâce au soutien du cinéaste Guillermo “Pony” Cosío Díaz, qui a fait don de 3 350 films à l’université, ainsi que d’Emilio Brun Solórzano. L’UdeC a également annoncé la 77e édition de la Mostra Internationale de Cinéma de la Cineteca Nacional (du 27 mai au 2 juin) et une collaboration avec la Filmothèque de l’UNAM. Ces initiatives visent à renforcer l’éducation culturelle et audiovisuelle des étudiants, grâce à une alliance entre l’université, la société civile et d’autres institutions.
