UniBeca, a Committed Effort for the Student Community of Manzanillo: Rosi Bayardo
The Manzanillo City Council presented the UniBeca program at the University of Colima, Campus El Naranjo, with the participation of the dean Christian Jorge Torres Ortiz Zermeño. This program provides financial support to undergraduate and graduate students connected to the port. Mayor Rosi Bayardo emphasized the transparency of the initiative, while Deputy Secretary of Tourism Jorge Padilla highlighted the collaboration between different levels of government. The scholarship amounts to 4,500 pesos per semester and 9,000 pesos annually. Interested students can register from March 3 to 31.

La mairie de Manzanillo a présenté le programme UniBeca à l’Université de Colima, Campus El Naranjo, en présence du doyen Christian Jorge Torres Ortiz Zermeño. Ce programme offre un soutien financier aux étudiants de licence et de master ayant un lien avec le port. La maire Rosi Bayardo a souligné la transparence de l’initiative, tandis que le sous-secrétaire au Tourisme, Jorge Padilla, a mis en avant la collaboration entre les différents niveaux de gouvernement. La bourse s’élève à 4 500 pesos par semestre et 9 000 pesos par an. Les étudiants intéressés peuvent s’inscrire du 3 au 31 mars.
University of Colima Establishes Editorial Board for the 2025-2029 Term
The University of Colima has formed its Editorial Board for the 2025-2029 term, introducing the officials responsible for each area. The appointments were delivered by Dr. Carlos Ramírez Vuelvas, General Coordinator of Extension and of the Editorial Board. The ceremony included the participation of authorities such as Adolfo Álvarez González and Leticia Bermúdez Aceves.
The Board consists of representatives from various disciplines, including Physical-Mathematical Sciences, Health Sciences, Humanities, and Engineering. During the session, the process for publishing academic books and journals was presented.
This body will oversee UdeC’s editorial regulations, plan institutional projects, and promote best publishing practices. With this installation, the university strengthens its commitment to quality and the dissemination of knowledge.
L’Université de Colima met en place son Conseil éditorial pour la période 2025-2029
L’Université de Colima a constitué son Conseil éditorial pour la période 2025-2029, en présentant les responsables de chaque domaine. Les nominations ont été remises par le docteur Carlos Ramírez Vuelvas, coordinateur général de l’Extension et du Conseil éditorial. La cérémonie a compté sur la participation d’autorités telles qu’Adolfo Álvarez González et Leticia Bermúdez Aceves.
Le Conseil est composé de représentants de différentes disciplines, notamment les Sciences Physiques et Mathématiques, les Sciences de la Santé, les Sciences Humaines et l’Ingénierie. Lors de la séance, le processus de publication des livres et revues académiques a été présenté.
Cet organe supervisera la réglementation éditoriale de l’UdeC, planifiera les projets institutionnels et promouvra les bonnes pratiques éditoriales. Avec cette installation, l’université renforce son engagement envers la qualité et la diffusion du savoir.
